"Simply the best!"During the past 25 years, The Langley Ukulele Ensemble has developed a world wide reputation and acclamation for their excellence in musical performances. Described by John Berger, entertainment critic for the Honolulu Advertiser, "Langley, British Columbia is the nexus of ukulele outside of Hawaii."
"Island Ukuleles" is an honor ukulele ensemble based out of School District 61 in Victoria, B.C. It is comprised of students in grades 6 through 12 from 17 different schools in the Victoria area. Island Ukuleles boasts a 30 year history and is still going strong.
The "Pacifica Ukes" from Campbell River, B.C. are a select group students ranging in ages from 9 to 17 years. This is also an "honor" group, and students are selected through an audition process based on their musical skills on the ukulele and voice.
